Although it can be fun at times to beat up on the pathetic loser on the cinematic playground, dwelling on the negative is ultimately a waste of time - as well as a waste of perfectly good time that could be better spent on seeing good films, even great ones. So, in keeping to that mindset, this year I offer up no ridiculous rhetoric (which I am rather famous for by the way) and no blathering commentary (which I am also rather famous for). I simply put forth the Ten Worst Films of 2005. Nothing more. Nothing less. So Here goes...
But first (I told you I couldn't stop at just a list - I must blather just a bit), a few films, that I successfully avoided, that would have been probable "worst of the year" contenders: Lords of Dogtown / The Honeymooners / Monster-in-Law / Amityville Horror / XXX: State of the Union / Duece Bigalo: European Gigalo / The Fog / Son of the Mask / Cheaper by the Dozen 2 / Mine, Yours & Ours / Saw II / Dreamer: Inspired by a True Story / The Pacifier / Cursed / Be Cool.
One final note: There are several poorly made documentaries from this past year that would have otherwise made this list, but since there are so many boring documentaries (one of the easiest genres to fuck up), I've decided to eliminate them from "competition". Read on...
